The path
Gail Weingast took to her current position as a radiology expert certainly wasn't always a straight line. Her education began with a Spanish Degree from Tufts University, which would suggest that she didn’t always want to be a doctor. However, it didn’t take long before her decision to be a doctor to take hold in earnest. A few years later, she went to Boston University School of Medicine and officially became Dr. Gail Weingast, MD in 1976.
From there, she was off and running. She went to Denver, where
Dr. Gail Weingast completed a pediatrics internship and a pediatric residency over the next four years, as well as a three-year residency radiology and a fellowship in ultrasound at Colorado General Hospital, all by 1983, before completing her post-graduate radiology studies St. Anthony’s Hospital by 1984. Nowadays, Dr. Gail Weingast is perhaps best known as a highly regarded radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Con-necticut, where she is the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging.
